A Tripartite Book Launch: Celebrating the Literary Triumph, Leadership, and 53rd Birthday of Dr. Helen Inafa Bob.

By Gesikeme Akparakata.

Dr. Helen Inafa Bob is not defined by gender alone, but by purpose. In the literary sense, Dr. Bob is not a woman but a man: a fighter, a builder, a visionary. Yet she is also a mother. She is a wife. She is a teacher. She is a politician. She is a Bayelsan, an Ijaw, from the Nembe Kingdom. Without doubt, she is a heroine in her own right.

Looking critically at this woman of multiple gifts, her life mirrors a rare breed of world personalities whose impact transcended borders and barriers. Her name belongs on the same list with Mother Teresa for selfless service, Wangari Maathai for courage and environmental advocacy, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for literary voice, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for breaking political glass ceilings, and Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti for fearless leadership in Nigeria’s history. Like them, Dr. Bob carries many burdens, yet walks with grace.

A Journey of Service and Growth
Dr. Helen Bob’s story is one of transformation. Her career began in S.A. Tourism, where she learned the art of hospitality, strategy, and public engagement. From tourism, she answered a higher call into the classroom as a teacher, shaping young minds and laying foundations for the next generation.

Her commitment to nation-building earned her national responsibility as an Honourable Federal Commissioner, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission [RMAFC], and she currently serves as a Member of the Federal Character Commission Board, ensuring equity, fairness, and representation across Nigeria’s diverse peoples.

The Rubicon Moment: Tripartite Book Launch at 53
On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, Dr. Bob crossed the Rubicon. In honour of her 53rd birthday and Thanksgiving service, she officially unveiled three inspiring books at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Government House, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The occasion drew dignitaries including His Excellency Pastor Peter Akpe, PhD, Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State; Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah (Rtd), former Deputy Governor; and the State Secretary to the Government.

The Book Collection:

  1. The Power of Possibility – A revolutionary anthology and roadmap for unlocking full human potential.
  2. Bob the Clumsy Deer – A children’s book on finding one’s place in the world.
  3. A third biographical/motivational title – Written to inspire readers to live with vision, purpose, and leadership.

In a feat many men could not achieve, she made the Izon Nation proud and joined the league of global women changing the narrative that women are weaker vessels. Her pen became her sword, and her ideas became monuments.

Congratulations, Madam, on your TRIPARTITE BOOK LAUNCH. You have shown that courage, intellect, and consistency will always birth history.
